My husband reached out to Comfort Care when I was discharged from an extended hospitalization. John came to our home and met with us both to get a better understanding of our needs. He had a very caring and gentle demeanor. He arranged for me to have care giving services during the week while my husband was at work. My care givers were able to help me with light housekeeping, grocery shopping, and provided companionship. I was very impressed with their dedication and work ethic. I eventually got stronger and no longer needed their services but sought them out to help with my mother. We had another very positive experience. I have gone on to refer others in need. I would highly recommend Comforcare for your loved ones.

As a 20 year caregiver for parents and grandparents, I know all too well the importance of receiving help. Your loved one may need companionship and possibly aid with dressing, bathing or feeding. For care givers who need to go to the store, or simply need a break, I trust ComForCare because they took such wonderful care of my father. You can completely trust them with a family member you love, which removes the stress of going out to get things done. I would come home to my father listening and tapping to music or playing cards with his care givers. He was always happy to see them. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

My family and I have been working with John for a couple of years now. He is incredibly responsive and takes action to address any questions or concerns. Most of the caregivers have a background in education or medicine, are professional and caring, and many are trained in memory care. I appreciate that most of the caregivers encourage my grandma to join in fun activities with the community or family and encourage healthy meals. She feels safe with them and enjoys the extra support.

John, we can’t thank you enough for the incredible service you gave Chuck and Peggy over many years! The family has felt sincerely cared for by you and your team. Maureen was a lifeline across many eras. She was impeccably reliable and deeply understanding and loving. She was far more than a caretaker; she was a wonderful friend to Chuck, Peggy, and the family. We are deeply grateful.

John and the team at ComForCare did an amazing job caring for my mother with Alzheimer's. John helped us navigate a difficult road, answered our questions patiently and thoroughly and really took the stress off of us when it came to ensuring we had quality care for our beloved mother. We truly felt like he cared deeply for our family and situation. Maria was our primary care giver and I cannot say enough good things about the level of care she provided. She was warm, nurturing and truly went above and beyond developing a wonderful bond with my mom and caring for her as if she was her own mother. When a caregiver wasn't the right fit, John was quick to find a better option for our family and I never worried about coverage or quality of care. I cannot recommend ComForCare enough.

Just before Thanksgiving in 2022, my husband and I both were incapacitated after taking turns caring for each other for more than 3 years. After receiving a referral for home assistance from a relative, we met with John Trompeter of ComForCare in Wheaton. He saw our house, learned of our needs, and explained protocols for working with an assistant 3 afternoons per week. In a few days John and Maria Rizzo-Gallegos paid us a visit to finish our enrollment. After only a few visits, Maria was already managing laundry, food prep, driving to appointments, shopping, and tidying the house while waiting for the finished signal of washer, dryer, cooktop, oven, or microwave. After photographing our dog’s food bowl, and noting the time of his dinner on the previous visit, Maria fixed his dinner, and took another photo for my approval. After my nap I hurried downstairs to feed a hungry dog. Maria did not say a word, instead she smiled and showed me the pho-to. There are many more unexpected tasks that she did in the 5 months she spent helping us. Support, reassurance, sharing of our life stories, discussing menus, or exchanging recipes were welcomed in the days that she spent with us. As both my husband and I are much improved, we acknowledge that what Maria brought to our lives was far beyond what we envisioned her service could be.

I hired ComForCare several years ago when my mom had surgery and needed some help. John, the owner is phenomenal in understanding this business and getting to know clients personally. He matched his staff to my moms needs. For the past 7 years his staff is caring, attentive, dependable, and talented in home care. They cook her breakfast, which my mom still talks about, shower, clean and help her getting dressed and will listen and talk with her. I live out of town and I felt comfortable knowing my mom was being cared for. John’s staff would take her to doctors appointments and take notes for me as my mom has some difficulty with her hearing. I can’t say enough about this company. I would be happy to talk to anyone about how ComForCare has helped my 91 yr. mom, simply the best experience for my family.

John and the caregivers he provided were wonderful to my mom and stepdad. I can't say enough good things about them. Plus our needs were constantly changing, and John was so accommodating and rolled with whatever last-minute changes we requested. This is a great agency that truly cares about its clients. Highly recommend!

I talked to several home health care agencies before decided on Comforcare Home Care. From the beginning they were more then caring in giving my dad the best care that I can ask for. I work full time and my dad needed care when I was at work and after being told he has cancer. He wanted be stay at home and not in a nursing home, I agreed with dad. So when we started to talk to John at ComForCare. I let him know we needed someone that likes dogs as we have a rottie who is big, but as she is gentle as a giant. When we started John G. came to our house. I can not say enough about how caring he was to me and my dad. He would help take my dad to his treatments and bring him home. We worked out a plan for me to help him get my dad into the car and help get him back into the house. As my dad was going down hill with his health, John was there for me. One morning my dad was so bad, I called John G. and let him know I was staying home with him, so he didn't have to come. Next thing I know he was at the door helping me get him cleaned up before the ambulance came to my house, he stayed with me until they left. Gave me a hug and said I will clean his room up you go be with your dad. That meant so much to me. He was with me though the good and the bad times with my dad. John always had a smile on his face. gave me an update on how my dad did for the day. He came over when dad was near the end. He sat there with him and talked to him like he did for the past year. He was the most caring care giver I could have asked for. While I was at work I was not worried about how my dad's care was. My dad and him became friends. My dad would talk to me about his day with John G. and the laughs they had. That is the care you would want for your family member when you are not able to be there for them. When my dad past, John G. still checked in on me as how I was doing. That is how much care this company has with caring for their patience's, and their families, we were not just a number. They really care. Donna

I can't say enough good things about ComForCare. They were always there and were very flexible when I needed care (that I often had to change from week to week) for my elderly father . The caregivers were attentive, fully engaged, and appropriately challenging him to work through his slowly progressing Alzheimer's disease. John regularly checked in to make sure that my father's needs were always being met. It was always clear that John and the caregivers genuinely cared about my father and his well being. I would definitely recommend them as a first choice for in-home assistance.

After talking with them it was determined my brother would not need registered nursing care. However, John Trompeter went above and beyond and helped me locate the service we would need. It was a wonder fit that I would never have known about without his help. If we should ever need nursing care he is the first place I will turn to. I thank you for your help.

I was very leary of selecting a home health care agency because of a previous experience that was not good. I have an acquaintance that used ComForCare for years, and they were so pleased they suggested I speak with the owner, John. After speaking with John, I felt like this was the one. John will go out his way to make both the individual and family feel like their loved one is getting the best care, and he delivers. Most importantly, my mother really liked John and felt comfortable with his plan. Highly recommend!

I had a total hip replacement on August 5th (two plus weeks ago). Had the other done 7 years ago but it was posterior (many restrictions - HUGE recuperation). This one was anterior (no restrictions, lite recuperation) so I wasn't sure what to expect. I contacted John (googled & read reviews). HE WAS AMAZING. I felt I was in good hands, I felt he was extremely competent, that he was proud and confident of his staff. I felt safe and secure. I could have assistance for as long as I wanted or needed (or as LITTLE as I wanted or needed). His rates were very reasonable AND MY CAREGIVER (GALINA) WAS AMAZING! She was SUCH a hard worker, so very kind, and she could amazingly tell when I needed something (I was thinking I'd like some water & before I could ask she asked me if I would like something to drink). Assistance in the shower, stairs, walking, everything! I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

ComForCare was a godsend for our family when we needed a caregiver for my mother. John Trompeter worked with me, my mom and family in trying to find the right caregiver for my mother. She wasn't crazy about having someone in her house and helping to take care of her so she wanted to meet the caregivers before deciding. I called a few other places and John and ComForCare were the only ones who would agree to this. It was the start of a very good working relationship. My mom ended up liking her caregiver and it gave me and my family peace of mind that she was being taken care of. We started with just 8 to 10 hours a day and when we realized she needed more help months later we went to 24 hour care. John was very receptive to changes in schedules when we brought my mom to stay with family for a few weekends or over holidays. He personally came to visit my mom several times to check on her see how things were going and say hello. My mom, myself and family were very grateful to ComForCare and especially John Trompeter for working with us.

I am fortunate to have chosen John Trompeter's service when my wife became ill and needed home care. The people he brought, always in person, at my convenience, were uniformly warm, interested in my wife's experiences and needs and mood. He never let me down in terms of schedule or personnel, all of whom performed their work in a way that inspired confidence in us both. Without being intrusive, he took on my concerns with intelligence and understanding.

My family used ComForCare Home Care in Wheaton for my Mom after she had a stroke. After interviewing four different agencies, they were by far the one we felt the most reassurance that they could provide us with the services we needed. We used their services from April 2013 till my Mom's death in July of 2016. Our family would recommend ComForCare in Wheaton because our family had a great experience. I have already sent them many referrals.

Deciding to keep my parents at home was a momentous decision that my siblings and I made together. The actual keeping of them at home was made possible through ComForCare Home Care in Wheaton. I cannot say enough good things about John Trompeter, Jean, and the people on their staff. Their team became members of our family and helped us navigate such things as home medical care. John Trompeter suggested an organization in Wheaton, Cadence Physicians Group, that made home calls and was covered by Medicare. When we chose to not treat the parents at a hospital, we received words of comfort and advice about hospice, not only from John but also from the Cadence Physicians Group in Wheaton. Because my dad was a veteran, John had some words of wisdom about the VA and our relationship with them. My last image of John, and the one that I will hold, is him at my father's funeral, accompanied by one of his staff members. Above and beyond the call...
