I gave it a 5star because I really like this place but my 1 complaint would be, friendlier employees at the checkout, its not a good ending to what is usually a great experience! I will continue to refer others to what I believe to be a family run business and I highly recommend supporting such businesses, the flowers and plants are plentiful, creative and beautiful 😍

Under a new name & new ownership, the products & quality are still top-notch. Unfortunately, they tore down and completely removed the old house & barn, so it has lost its old world charm and curb appeal. We asked an employee, but they had no idea why the old buildings were removed. Perhaps it was necessary for safety or they were structurally unsound, but in the end, it's a huge aesthetic loss for the area.

We come here every spring for all our flowers and vegetables. I have zero complaints and always great results from their plants. A very large selection and variety are available. Prices are reasonable as well. Just stop in and I'm sure you'll end up buying more than you intended too 😉

The best place to go locally for all your plants and SUPER knowledgeable staff. I've bought flowers, veggies, herbs, and bushes from Ekerts, and they never disappoint. Last year, I waited too long to buy veggies, and they no longer had some of the things I wanted, so I bought what I could from Ekerts and bought the rest from a big box store. Well, my Ekerts ones completely blew my big box ones out of the water. More harvest, healthier plants, etc. You never know until you try, but I'll never go back to big box. #EkertsForLife

Not a super bargain like some others have said, but the prices are reasonable. Selection though is off the hook. Anything and everything you're looking for, and some stuff you're not. I got sucked into that vortex of seeing a plant that grew in my yard as a child and ended up buying it for nostalgia's sake. Do buy their "Eckert's, Potting Mix"! No more Miracle grow for me, now that I found this mix. My flowers and vegetables are doing great in this mix. I even used it for my repotting my house plants, and they're diggin' the mix too. If you plan on frequenting there, get their punch card, but note, it is only good for the season you start it in. I had a full card I wanted to use from last year, and they wouldn't let me.

Beautiful flowers & employees are so helpful. I needed dark pots to go with my dark mulch. The flowers I wanted the most came in white pots, no problem, the nice fellow just switched them into dark pots. I wish I knew about this place long ago, & it's just 5 miles from where I live. This will be my summer flower shopping every Spring.

This is a quaint greenhouse where they seem to specialize in kindness and knowledge. Although we were a little later than usual in getting our plants, the ones we went for were gone, but they recommended something else that was exactly what we were looking for. Every time we go here, we are greeted and asked if there is anything they can do to help us find something. Some of the employees even just said hello. I recommend going here and checking it out. You won't be disappointed. 😊

My wife and I went to Eckerts May 30, 2020, yesterday. It was our first visit. The dirt parking lot was pretty chaotic. In contrast, the rest of the visit was great. They had good, reasonably priced product. The staff appeared to to everywhere, helpful, and friendly. As their website states, the store is practicing safety measures limiting numbers in the enclosed areas and apparently expecting people to wear masks. The shoppers in late morning were seniors, like myself. I believe the only couple I saw without a mask whom arrived at the same time we did, left without shopping. This is definately a well thought out set up. Very impressed.

After English Garden failed me, I remembered their commercials and decided to come here. While it is much smaller than the green houses south of Metro Detroit, I still found everything I wanted in the colors I wanted. I was even able to quickly able to help and answers to my questions. I even found bamboo wind chimes with is getting to be the unicorn search of the wind chimes world. I will remember this place to come next spring.

This was a great find for me, being a plant geek. Lots of varieties of plants. Lots of friendly and helpful staff. A rather homey feel, leading one to believe there are exciting discoveries down every aisle. While not every plant was perfect, you could tell that they really care and hey, it was memorial day weekend so you gotta give them some slack.

Love Eckherts! Sitting in parking lot because it seems like I’ve been here shopping before at 8am. Not open until 8:30. When I arrived at 8:03 there were 3 cars. Two left 7 cars pulled in and out. I buy a lot of annuals here and some vegetable plants. Hanging baskets are beautiful every year. They also have a nice selection of perennials. You can buy fertilizers (including Espoma organic), potting soil and a few other items in the bagged goods line which is convenient. Staff is always friendly and helpful. I prefer to support local businesses instead of huge corprations. It keeps money circulating in the local economy.
