Dr. Francis is wonderful. He said I would not have nerve pain after surgery and I didn’t. I had help from everyone in the hospital. Now it took a while when you pressed the button for going to the bathroom. I would recommend Dr. Francis for spinal surgery.

Dr. Francis is the only neurosurgeon I would let work on me again. After 7 back surgeries I had plenty of times to find the best and worst surgeons in southeast Michigan. Previously I used all the big names available at the time, and had pretty much every complication possible from their efforts. Dr. Francis has done everything thing he could to correct the previous work and give me the best chance of having some kind of life going forward. Real nice and professional people in his office as well.

If there were 10 stars, I would give him all 10. Dr. Todd Francis saved me in a major way. In August of 2023, I had another surgeon perform a laminectomy and discectomy but it failed immediately. Then that same surgeon gave me a spinal fusion 3 weeks later in Sept of 23. I started having new symptoms and the original Dr. wouldn't hear what I was saying. I sought out Dr. Francis, as he came HIGHLY recommended from friends who received him treatment. He ordered new images, nerve testing etc. It was determined that a screw in my spinal fusion was incorrectly placed resulting in a 3rd surgery by Dr. Francis. Immediately, I could tell the difference!! His bedside manner is so warm and kind and he is incredibly professional. I won't let anyone else touch my back but him. Thank you Dr. Francis!

My patient experience with Dr Francis was excellent. Five Star + service. As a healthcare provider and/or administrator myself for nearly 40 years, I have a lifetime of experiences working with physicians. I've had the good fortune of getting to know many exceptional physicians and Dr Francis is very much included in this category. If you have time to read the reviews from some of his other patients, you will get a clear picture of the many special qualities Dr Francis presents during his care. I believe his training and technical skills are outstanding, but his demeanor, "down to earth" , yet highly confident communication skills are equally impressive. I had a highly successful microdiscectomy surgery 6 days ago that could not have gone better. If you are the type to research a physician's training and experience, I highly suggest you do so for Dr Francis and trust you will be impressed. Needless to say, neurosurgery is a highly technical specialty and you want the BEST physician you can get. I have already begun and will continue to recommend Dr Francis to my family and friends. PS I have not visited his office yet, but the scheduling staff was also impressive. Very accommodating, professional and pleasant. Best of luck to those in need.

I am a 22 year old patient with a herniated disc at L5-S1, I was having unbearable pain and it was getting in the way of my career and my school. I came to Dr.Francis and I was nervous about the surgery and he reassured me that everything will be fine. 4 days after my surgery and I was walking alone, sitting up and down alone, and completely pain free. I am so glad to have come across dr.Francis he completely changed my life, he is very talented and smart and amazing at what he does. I will be recommending him to anyone with the same problem as me because I would do the surgery again in a heart beat.

I was referred by my Primary for a 2nd opinion for gluteal and horrendous right thigh pain. It took me 45min to get walking every morning, and lying down was miserable. My initial office reception by Jessica and Isabelle, which was amiable and professional, to MAs Holly and Malcolm (thought they were NPs), providing excellent patient care, it got better. Dr Frances took a repeated, unresolved physical problem, and took action. If it weren't for Dr Francis's action, I'd be miserable. He got me right into other specialists for diagnosis, treatment, and then further diagnosis and treatment after the 2nd visit. I may not have wanted to hear it, but he saved me an unnecessary surgery. The next diagnosis, from a neurologist may be it. Incredible treatment, and quarterbacking, even when it is not the neurosurgeon's procedure. This is the classic surgeon. Gold Standard.

Due to a spinal cord injury and brain tumor I have had the opportunity to experience many neurosurgeons be it as an on call doctor or my treating physician and without hesitation I can tell you Dr. Todd Francis is so much more than a neurosurgeon. He has an amazing bedside manner. When he enters your room he has a strong, confident yet comforting demeanor, that gives you the knowledge that he will do whatever it takes to protect you, and make you better. When he speaks he chooses his word carefully to assure you are given the exact information you need. However, after he shares his knowledge, he listens intently, and reassures your mind by taking his time to answer every question and explain difficult concepts in understandable ways. He never loses sight that you are a person, most likely scared and overwhelmed. When he interacts with you he treats you like you are his only patient. When you are in need he is there, when you need someone to fight for you he will stand next to you. It is an honor to have Dr. Todd Francis as your neurosurgeon, if you give your all, he will too.
