What a great place to have your fab work done. Every time I have given them a project they do a awesome job at a very reasonable price. Would recommend them to anyone that needs fab work or heavy duty repair. Also the staff are always polite and courteous. Which is rare nowadays.

They cut a fireplace surround; welded a metal chair that had broken. Surround was cut evenly and smoothly and doesn’t need paint touch ups. Chair was mended smoothly. Very nice people. Place isn’t hot and uncomfortable to visit. Belleville is pleasant-A&W, Frosty Boy, a family restaurant if you need to wait. The chair took a couple days; the surround just minutes.

They are friendly, with fair prices, but their hours aren’t consistent. I just stopped there at 3:09pm on Thursday 5/26/2022 and the place is closed, with no sign or info. This is at least the third time I’ve had this happen. Luckily, they aren’t far from me. Call before you go.

I requested two brackets to be fabricated based on a sample part with modifications. The fabricator originally scheduled to make the part had a medical emergency. They were able to adjust their schedule with only a slight delay and they more than fairly compensated me for the unusual circumstance. I'll be back when I need more parts in the future.

Wow, this place is great! You can walk in and actually see and touch some of the steel; they even put a price on it! They sell tube in 8' lengths and angle in 10s. Plus, they have a shelf full of remnants sold by the pound (and a scale too). There is also everything they have in the back. If you need some steel supply, chances are they have it. Thanks Van Buren Steel!

I have worked with Van Buren Steel many times. Each time I have hired them to create custom pieces for our jobs. Recently they fabricated a custom made steel sign for one of our projects. I developed the design and sent it to Matt. After discussing some possible options Matt shared some of his ideas and we finalized the design together. The guys in the shop made us a beautiful black painted steal frame for a commercial sign we installed. Working with Van Buren Steel has allowed me to develop ideas and provide custom made one-of-a-kind components to our projects.
